Live at Studio5 Online!

We are so excited to welcome you to our Studio5 online home for LIVE performances! This event can only be found on this site and we thank you for supporting our efforts. Revenues generated through ticket purchases and tips go to the artists and technicians who make these events possible. Also, please take advantage of the “Comments” section. We will respond to as many as we can during the show.

ABOUT THE VIDEO

There are two LIVE video players below, both with that great Studio5 sound. You can watch either, or switch between them. Some devices will even let you view both simultaneously (note the caution below). The two windows provide the same content, but behave quite differently. Here’s a brief description:
The upper player is a multi-camera hi-def stream. The advantage is that it is nearly broadcast quality, with excellent camera angles live-switched by a video professional. You simply sit back, watch and enjoy.
The lower player is a truly interactive window with a 360º view which you control by clicking and dragging (or swiping, on a mobile device) across the image. Though it does not have the resolution of the hi-def cameras, this player gives you 100% control of the shot. Left, right, up, down, look at anything you like, just like you are sitting in the front row. BTW though we haven’t tried it, we believe you can even use VR glasses. Let us know if it works!
A CAUTION for you digital daredevils: For reasons related to complex video processing and internet lag, the two windows are not in sync with each other. I know. Waaah. If you do choose to watch both simultaneously, do yourself a favor and mute one of them … otherwise you’ll think you’re listening to Charles Ives. No offense.

Tips: Wanna show even more love to our artists and technicians? Send a real tip … virtually! Click on the button to see how. Don’t worry, the show will keep playing in the background … kinda like you went out to the car for your wallet but we left the door open for you.

Sound: Once the video starts, hover over – or, if you’re on a mobile device, tap on – the video and click on the speaker icon at the bottom of the player, then crank up the slider until the neighbors complain. Again, if you choose to watch both windows simultaneously (not possible on all devices) be aware that they WILL NOT be in sync and you will be weirdly “hearing double”, so kindly mute the volume in one of the windows … or it will remind you of that one night in college you promised we weren’t going to talk about.
Problems? If for some reason you lose the sound (or if the picture freezes), just refresh your browser and hit the speaker icon again. Sometimes the internet is cranky.
