  • Studio5 (in Dance Center Evanston) 1934 West Dempster Street Evanston, IL, 60202 United States (map)

$15 individual

$25 per couple

To clarify: THIS IS A DANCE CLASS, NOT A MUSICAL EVENT. This class is presented in partnership with (and as preparation for) the Dance Through the Decades: The 1930's LIVE MUSIC EVENT on October 28th with The Recession Seven. We thought it would be fun to offer dance classes in the style of the era (for those who would like to learn some basic steps) the week before presenting the live music event. Click HERE to purchase advance tickets, or pay at the door.

Have fun in this class learning the social dances of the 1930s – to recorded music – and then join us the following Saturday, October 28th, for our Dance Through the Decades live music event where you can show off your new skills and strut your stuff on the dance floor to the music of The Recession Seven! Your instructor will be Allen Desterhaft, an internationally acclaimed Ballroom dancer and teacher with over 20 years of professional experience. Anyone attending this dance class will receive $5 off the ticket to the Saturday show.

Check out the video below. You may not be Ricardo Montalban, Lana Turner or Rita Moreno ... but it's fun to pretend, isn't it?

Later Event: October 27
Live at Studio5: BEN LEWIS
